How do I create donations for my event?

If needed, TicketLeap makes it easy to collect donations. You can create a separate donation event, or you can easily add a donation as a ticket type to a pre-existing event.

The donation can be open-ended for ticket buyers to choose their giving amount and you can set a minimum dollar amount to be donated!

Note that any ticketing fees you have set up to be paid by the ticket buyer will be applied to the donation.

Set up a Donation as a ticket type

  1. From the Events tab, select Edit (pencil icon) next to the event where you want to add your donation ticket type.
  2. Go to Tickets > Add Ticket and choose Donation from the dropdown.
  3. Add the donation ticket name, set the minimum price, and indicate the available quantity.
  4. You can also set the specific date and times a ticket will be available for purchase.
  5. Click Add Ticket and Save. Your buyers can donate when they purchase tickets or register for your event.
