Introduction to TicketLeap Scan

TicketLeap offers an easy way to scan in ticket buyers at your event. Download our free mobile app called TicketLeap Scan and start scanning! TicketLeap Scan is available for both iOS and Android mobile phones.

Visit the Google Play Store to download TicketLeap Scan.

Using TicketLeap Scan

To log in, enter your TicketLeap account email and password, then tap Sign in and Accept the Terms of Service.

Choose events for scanning. By default, all events are displayed. You can filter events by tapping filter (the tick box) in the top right corner. Once you have finished selecting events, tap Download tickets for [number] events, where [number] will reflect the number of events you’ve chosen. 

Tap Done. A confirmation message will appear when the selected events have been successfully downloaded.

On the next screen you will see a list of all downloaded events. By default, all price levels are selected for each event. 

To filter individual price levels:

  1. Tap All next to the event where you want to see all price levels.
  2. Select the price levels you want.
  3. Tap Make Selection when you’re done.

Finally, tap Done to save your selections.

Scanning Tickets

Get started scanning by selecting Launch Scanner. Allow the app to take pictures and record video (first login only). 

You're now ready to line up the QR code and scan tickets!

Tips:

  • Position the scanner within 6-8 inches of the ticket
  • Locate the barcode within the guided corners in the app’s viewfinder. 
  • You may need to adjust the distance or lighting to allow the camera’s aperture to focus correctly
  • When properly focused, the scanner will automatically detect the barcode. 
 

Scanning a Receipt Barcode

Once the scanner validates the barcode for a group of tickets within a single order, the app displays a menu showing all tickets associated with that order. You can choose how to proceed with scanning the group of tickets:

  • Tap Check In All to validate all tickets in the order at once. 
     
  • Select individual tickets by tapping on them, then tap Check In to validate only the tickets you want at this time.

Network & Device Recommendations

The following recommendations should be met to scan tickets using the TicketLeap Sell app effectively. Please meet and maintain these recommendations to avoid loss of network connection and app failures while selling tickets.

  • The Wi-Fi network that your devices are connected to should be a dedicated private network.
  • All devices should be within 50 feet of the Wi-Fi access point.
  • We recommend a minimum of 10mbps download and upload per device.
  • The device should be running iOS 15 or newer for an Apple device or Android 9 or newer for Android devices.
